One of the most important goals of the research institute has been the regular publication of specialized journals in the field of legal studies and research. They focus on the importance of doctrine and the opinions of jurists as one of the law deriving process of any country. One of the plagues that specialized publications may fall into is forgetting the important mission of publications and replacing it with the mission books. Shahre Danesh Legal Research Institute believes that legal journals in our country have the mission of enriching the country’s legal literature by reflecting criticisms and analyses and explaining scientific teachings. Their mission is also to provide judges and law enforcers with tact and deep insight and guide competent legal institutions to modify and review existing legal institutions and regulations.
Shahre Danesh Legal Research Institute started its work by publishing “two quarterly” legal research in 2002, which in 2005 received the degree of “scientific-promotional” from the scientific commission of publications of the country. Due to the reception of researchers and the increase in the number of articles, from spring 2017, issue number 33 onwards, became “Quarterly.” According to the Ministry of Science’s regulations, Research and Technology dated 2019/04/09, all publications, including the Legal Research Quarterly, have “scientific” validity.
Thus, at the beginning of 2012, the Research Institute’s Criminal Law Research Group initiated the publication of the Research Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. This journal was awarded a scientific-research degree in 2012 by the Scientific Commission of Publications.
Based on the new evaluation and ranking of the Policy and Planning Office of Research Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, these two quarterly publications have successfully earned a “B” rating in 2018, 2019.
Both publications are currently indexed in the Islamic World Sciences (ISC), Noormags, Magiran, and Google Scholar.
The Private Law Research Journal initiated by the Private Law Research Group began its work in 2013 by following the standards and regulations of the Scientific Commission of Publications. These publications collaborate with researchers, professors, lawyers, judges, and well-qualified students of higher law courses in Iran and abroad to present new scientific findings from Iran and other countries. The result is academic research and studies on national and international organizations and research projects. These includes fundamental, applied, analytical, critical, and developmental research. The research also presents new theories and methods for solving problems and developing rights. This work is original and innovative. It advances the scientific boundaries of this field to make the legal system increasingly efficient in ensuring order, justice, and peace.
